34. For the foot fetishists

Shari's toes! Aren't they adorable?! She has the cutest toes, doesn't she? And the little flowers are to die for!

*So, apparently there are different types of toes, mainly consisting of the following:

Greek -- The big toe is shorter than the middle (second) toe. It is the "Grecian Foot" because classic Greek statues have this toe shape.

Peasant -- At least three or more toes are the same length and they tend to be short little piggies.

Egyptian -- Long first toe and the rest of the toes taper.

There are all kinds of variations and theories about each one. Aren't humans such interesting creatures?

What's your toe shape?! I'm a Grecian!


*And I would also like to state that, of all the fetishists, the foot fetishist is my favorite. A foot massage whilst in the sack?! Couldn't get any better!

Nature: Neurologist Vilayanur S. Ramachandran thought that foot fetishism is caused by the feet and the genitals occupying adjacent areas of the somatosensory cortex, possibly entailing some neural crosstalk between the two. I tend to think that is not quite often the case because that doesn't explain all the other fetishes. The hands aren't close to the genitals in the somatosensory cortex but there are a lot of hand fetishes out there too. You know what I mean?

Nurture: Some psychologists also believe that foot fetishism arises from the childhood of shy children. Because we are developing our sexuality in our young age and a shy child tends to look down at a person instead of at the face, the sexual focus starts at the feet.

Really, the whole subject can be debated and the only information we have gathered so far has been correlational. When it doesn't hurt anyone, let's just enjoy our differences, shall we?
